What type of family event, what is the date, what types of cookies, how many cookies? I know someone who makes just about any kind of cookies but I dont know what price because if its a good cause she only charges for supplies.

Contact all the Family members that you think will be attending. Ask each one of them to bake a few dozen cookies. This is what's happening at most Weddings nowdays. It seems to be working fine. Everyone will be glad to help. And you will save a ton of money.

RE: suggestions wedding cookies for around 200 people this summer
Suggestion for the cookie situation: How about contacting several church "lady auxiliary" groups. Such as those ladies who make Christmas kolachi and cookies. Maybe they would bake for such an occasion to make some much needed money for the church.
